The Baltimore Album quilt class was developed by well known quilter, Elly Sienkiewicz in the late 1980's. It is a year long class and we met about once a month. Each lesson builds on the next as the ladies learn techniques such as needle turn applique', reverse applique' and wonderful flowers and leaves. Towards the end of the year, they are creating their own squares and their quilts have taken on a unique personality.
I usually feature quiltmakers on the web site who have completed their quilts, but these women won't finish these quilts for a looooong time! Both classes are completed now and everyone is busy quilting. This is their carrot. They have been working incredibly hard and I am very proud of them!
