Welcome !
Welcome !
I began weaving in college (many years ago!) after taking some classes with my mother. Most of the fibers we could purchase were natural (think shades of beiges and tans!) which did not inspire me, so I quickly learned to dye.
I went to The Worcester Craft Center to get a certificate in Fiber Arts and took many wonderful classes, including rug hooking and how to dye wool.
My husband and I lived in Asia for many years and I was greatly influenced by the colors, fabrics and design that surrounded us. There are so many places there where textiles are still an important part of people’s lives.
Today Quilt Making and Dyeing Fabric are what I do most-
I love to create lovely color schemes for my quilts -
I love to play with water & dyes to make my own fabric -
And I love to teach & share my knowledge with others!
Please look around my website and contact me if I can teach a class for you or answer questions...
As you can see from the index below, there are many crafts I enjoy!
I think I know how to do everything relating to fiber including spinning, dyeing & weaving the cloth.
This is why I call myself a Fiber Artist.....
